Usually kept hidden inside the tikijhya below Dega Taleju, the giant sculpture of Shwet Bhairav is only open for public during Indra Jatra. The sculpture was installed only in 1795, during the rule of King Rana Bahadur Shah. It is said that the samaybaji given as prasad of Shwet Bhairav during Indra Jatra is supposed to cure all ailments of stomach.
